Pre-Field Training coming to an end

Yesterday we finished up our week of VBS with Uptown Community Church. Missionary kids from all over the world came to help us out. They raised the energy level and brought a lot of fun! We sang songs, played games, ate good food, did some crafts, and heard the story of the Bible.

Many of the kids in this neighborhood do not speak English. It was interesting explaining who we are and what we are doing.
Talking with the pastor yesterday was so encouaging. This church is only 7 months old. They have been ding all they know to do to get the word out in the neighborhood that Uptown Community Church is here. Pastor Reyn was so grateful for our time here this month bringing awareness to the community. We were hoping to be able to serve the church. I pray the Lord continues to draw people in to this body of believers.

lots of people, lots of shopping, lots of live shows,

and the largest subway station I have seen

I have to admit, there is something exciting about the business and craziness of this city!

We are going to miss our time here. We only have 5 more days left.
