Last week was a week of festivities. We left Tuesday night and did not return until Sunday afternoon. Micah and I made our rounds and managed to see all the family. Wednesday we went to Cartersville to see my mom's family for an early Turkey dinner. Thursday we headed up to Toccoa to eat more food with Micah's family. That night I went to Midnight Madness in Commerce. All of the Tanger Outlet Stores opened at Midnight to get a jump start on Black Friday. Several of Micah's cousins and I shopped until 5am. Then I went to wake my sleeping husband to take me to South Carolina to continue stealing the deals. We shopped until 10am. What a night. They say I need to be walking to get this baby out of me. So, I figure shopping is just what the doctor ordered. Saturday we left Micah's family in Toccoa to head to Atlanta. We say my dad's family and went to Scalini's to eat Egg Plant Parmesan. Evidently it can through us pregnant ladies into labor. So far no success. My last two visits to the doctor I have been told I am not progressing. This baby may never come out. She is so continent in there. Last night I was nearly in tears as Micah and I went before the Lord. Who am I to determine when this child should be born. He has Lydia's life in His hands. I pray this baby's birth and her life would be more about the Lord and less about me.
About support raising..... The holidays can be hectic, so we have slowed down. But! How encouraging to be reminded that we are not the ones who will raise this money to do God's work; He is!!! Over Thanksgiving break we had several families say they were interested in giving monthly. Sunday we visited a church that has invited us back to speak before their congregation and elders. The Lord is at work, even when we are not! How sweet it is to trust in Him and rest fully on Him!!
Christmas is coming!! This is an exciting time of year!! Not to mention we should have a baby in about a week and a half!! We will keep you updated!
In Christ,
Blair
