Our plans verses God's

Micah is sick! The nurse at Bremen High School called me to come pick him up this afternoon because he was unable to drive home. We went to the Doctor and then to the E.R. After some fluids and several I.V. medications we are now home. We were planning to spend the weekend at Angel's House, but the Lord had different plans for our weekend. In the hospital Micah confessed that he had been angry about the way he was feeling. He asked me to recite Bible verses to him. We thought through the promises of God we had stored away in our minds. Micah stopped shaking and for the first time in hours his muscles seemed to begin to relax. Many of the verses we remembered were on fear. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. Psalm 23:1 This verse is hard to proclaim when you want so badly not to hurt anymore. But what a mighty God we serve. That we can say the Lord works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. These promises and many more drove us to rest in the Lord this afternoon. And now we shall wait on the Lord to see what is next for our weekend plans.
