Some Saturday Thoughts

Micah is away all day today at the OA village.  Ray, a friend of ours that is growing dearer and dearer, went with him this time.  Lydia and I are home debating over being productive or having fun.  Well, both will come into play I am sure.  I am also pondering many things.  Should we try cloth diapers?  Is it cheaper to mail Lydia's baby clothes from the U.S. for Elli or to buy new ones.  Can I make a baby present for my friend that just had a baby?  Should I vacuum and mop... again?  I am reading a book called When Helping Hurts.  It has me pondering many things as well.  Like, how I relate to other people and how I can be more about encouraging myself and others to know God more and enjoy Him.  Lydia and I are working on posting the alphabet up in the playroom.  She prefers the tape to the letters.  She calls tape "sticky".  I am proud to say that Lydia is learning her shapes.  She knows her hearts, stars, circles, and triangles.  We are still working on squares.  She thinks they are triangles too.

Below is a video from Cell Group last night.  We had a going away party for a college student that is leaving to study in Canada.  This is a small taste of our crazy cell group.  Lots of laughing.  Take a look at Malcom's cake.  It's made of a heavy gelatin.  They call it Jelly.
