What a week.

Well, this week has been pretty huge.  Micah met with one refugee school on Monday.  It was very encouraging to see this school reach out to these children as well as to their families.  The school is training refugee adults who are interested in being teachers at the school to teach their own children.  The non-refugee teachers are volunteers there to train the adults.  The school began this January and is overflowing.  There is a waiting list of students who want to attend.  The need is great!  Tuesday and Wednesday Micah met with different University students that he has been meeting with regularly.  Thursday he met with the men on our team for encouragement and catch up.  Thursday night we were able to meet with some local believers and here their testimonies.  Friday he has meeting at the UN to learn more about the refugees here.  Micah is becoming somewhat of a networker between CDPC and those working to reach out to the refugee population here.  (And he loves it!)  There are many at CDPC who have been eager to help.  Micah is helping that door to become more available to them.  We are so encouraged to see all that God is doing!

As for my week...
Barb (our team leader's wife) is back from the States!  Yeah!  Her family will return late next week.  She came back early to tend to teachery things before the school year begins.  The ladies on our team met for dinner Monday night.  It's nice to be all together again.  On Tuesday, I was able to go with Darlene's oldest girls to see Harry Potter.  They have read the books to memorization.  It's so fun to watch a movie with someone who is really excited about it!  We also saw a preview for the "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" movie.  I hope I get invited to that one as well!  Tuesday night I met with some other ladies from the church I have been meeting weekly with.  I have questioned continuing getting together with them.  Each week I pray and ask God why am I going?  What good is it that I am even around?  Sometimes I feel I cannot relate to them.  This week the Lord gave me a great joy in being with them.  I saw that they are my sisters!  I do not want to give up on meeting together.  I pray that the Lord would use our time for edifying one another and for His glory.  Wednesday I have ladies Bible study.  I have had a similar experience.  Doubting if I should even go.  Again the Lord is burning within me a great joy.  What a blessing to be able to get together and discuss God's Word, His unchanging Character, Our incredibly great need for Him, etc.  Thursday I was able to go see the school where Barb will be teaching.  I went to help her set up her room.  Teachers have so much to do!  I don't think I put a dent in her to-do list.  Friday I am looking forward to being with Lydia (it seems this week I have been away more than normal) and cell group tonight!  Busy week, but not heavy!  The best kid of busy.
