Even the old guys ride bikes. This is a local town before we got to the village.

This some is local food that the aborigines people eat. This is Petai beans (not sure on the spelling), they are very strong in flavor. It is suppose to be very healthy and will flush out your system. I only had a few because I was a little nervous.

Worshiping in their language is a beautiful thing, if you knew the context I think you might understand why. Two local aborigines people leading in the singing.

People from different churches from all over the country came to celebrate and see what God is doing through these ministries with these aborigines people.

The organization functions to help with various "community development" projects. This was the dedication of a goat barn to give jobs and train these aborigines people.

The Goats....

Rendang Beef!!! My favorite. Then coconut rice wrapped in banana leaves.

More local food: fish and chicken wrapped in banana leaves and cooked over a fire. Then the white stuff is a root and taste a little like a potato. I avoided the anchovies with vegetables.

This plant is called deer antlers. I wonder why?

Kids playing in the river.

I thought this hand made raft was really cool.

It was nice being in the jungle!

There were rocks of all sizes in the river.

I had never seen a banana tree this close.

A unique flower.

This is a semi-cliff where they throw their trash.
The purpose of the trip was to continue to develop relationships with those who are working in this ministry from the Church. I hope to be able to encourage them and facilitate them as they labor to various villages. This trip we volunteered for another organization that is working to train and equip the aboriginal people of this land to be able to make a suitable income to provide for their needs. We helped them set up and take down afterwards, helped sell items the locals had made or provided so that these people can make money. All while also getting to see the training grounds myself and see how this could benefit many of the aborigines people who struggle to have a source of income and survive. It was encouraging to hear of what the Lord is doing and to be apart. As you see I also got to do some exploring which was fun!
