Look at Lydia's first pony tail!

She is staring into her daddy's eyes!

I do believe she is girl through and through.  She loves sitting with me while I do my hair and makeup.  After I am done, she pretends she is doing the same.  She brushes her hair and brushes her face with my makeup brushes.  Part of me wants to say "No, vanity is not okay."  But the other part of me says, "oh, she is so cute and growing up so fast!"

I got a hair cut this weekend.  It was the kind of hair cut that leaves you wearing a pony tail to every event.  I am hoping to get it fixed asap.  Micah and Lydia played with the camera while I was being butchered. 

Another new fetish of our precious daughter.  Anytime we are in the bathroom she reaches and begs for her toothbrush.  She likes to hold the toothpaste (with cap on) and pretend she is applying toothpaste to her toothbrush.  She then twist the toothbrush around in her mouth for as long as we allow.  Some mornings she carries her toothbrush around until her shoes are on and we are walking out the door.  We like good habits, but this is borderline obsession. 

We had a really good week, but the weekend was quite exhausting. We are learning how much we can handle in one day and when we need to take a time out and just rest.  I am learning that Lydia is making more steady and constant.  I feel more able to roll with the punches.  I am in awe of how the Lord uses all things in my life for my good.  Even the pain is for my good.  This week I have seen glimpses of how this is true.  I am so grateful for my husband and my daughter!  Oh how they are such great tools in my sanctification, and such great rest for me as well.
