What a Weekend!

Look, Micah and Lydia are driving a Fire Truck!!

Blair got to ride the Merry-Go-Round with Lydia!

Friday night we went to the North GA State fair in Marietta. This is one of my family's long traditions. Lydia had so much fun looking at the lights and riding the rides.

This was a weekend long awaited. Saturday we went to Les Miserables at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. My family do not miss this show when it is in town. Micah had not experienced it before, but my parents and I talked about it enough for him to feel as though he had.

The show was amazing as it always is. We laughed, we cried, we clapped, we sang-a-long, and we cried! The story is wonderfully redemptive. The power of the Love of God portrayed in forgiveness and mercy is the resounding theme. Micah prayed as we watched that hearts would be moved by the Spirit of God in that beautiful theatre.

My parents treated us to dinner at Maggiano's after the show. What a day. We felt like we were living the high life!

From dinner we left for Sweetwater, TN. We were invited to speak Sunday morning at Christ Pres for the finally of their missions conference. We arrived late Saturday night at the pastor's house to spend the night. What a welcome we recieved. This family was glowing! We enjoyed them in so many ways! Sunday morning we met their church. Micah spoke in the 11am service. He did so well! We are at a point of really trusting the Lord! We have a great joy and peace that the Lord has us speaking often of His great work in S.E. Asia. We have come to realize that it is not our "job" to raise money, but to raise awareness. The Lord is going to provide the funds in His perfect timing! We have around 65% of our total monthly needs! The Lord is faithful!

We returned home Sunday night. Lydia was excited to see her favorite bunny!

Bath time is the highlight of the day!

Here is a glimpse of Lydia's excitement in the bathtub. She tends to get upset when it's time to get out. She makes everything so much fun! I thought I would dread the daily tasks such as giving her a bath, but her excitement and curiosity entertains me more than I ever thought possible.
